Sign Up DeadlineA check made out to Troop 341 and the permission slip above must be retuned to the scout leader or adult advisor by January 30th, 2012 
Late FeeIf a scout wishes to attend a troop event after the registration date has past they must first contact the Scout Leader to see if there is any space available to attend. If there is a minimum 50% late penalty may be paid to attend the event. Depending on the event and any specific costs related to having the event an additional flat fee may be added onto the standard 50% penalty fee. 
General OverviewWinter Camping, building of quinzees, or igloos. Snowshoeing into a campsite while pulling a sled to carry all gear.

Map to the eventNote the google maps show Jackson Road as a Northern loop off of County Route 2. The DEC map shows the west part of the loop as Beecherville Road. Compare the two maps carefully and don't confuse the two parts of Jacksonville Rd.
Trail map(s) of the event locationMost places the scouts will go to will have websites that contain trail maps of some sort. It's the scout leader's responsibility to track these down and attach either a link to these, a scanned in pdf or a physical copy of a local map where available. Please provide topo maps where available too.

  • 9:30 am Start hike to Campsite
  • 11:30 am Have Lunch at Campsite
  • 12:00 pm Start Building
  • 3:00 pm Afternoon Snack while the snow sets
  • 4:00 pm Dig out quinzees
  • 6:00 pm Dinner
  • 8:00 pm Scout's own at Campfire.

  • 6:30am Breakfast
  • 7:00am Cleanup
  • 7:30am Leave Campsite
  • 9:30am Pack up cars and leave for Home
