We have missed you all! While we've continued to stay in touch virtually this summer, we are eager to resume Scouting activities this fall. But to be clear, the number one priority in creating our plan for fall was ensuring both the safety and health of scouts and participating adults. In keeping with current direction from both New York state and Monroe County health officials, we have developed new guidelines for outdoor activities.
To start, we are planning to hold patrol-level gatherings that will meet every two weeks in an outdoor setting. These meetings will be coordinated by two Assistant Scout Masters (ASM) and be accompanied by a registered adult that will serve as a health coordinator for that patrol meeting or outing.
The Troop will practice reasonable physical distancing, provide each scout with their own personal bottle of hand sanitizer, and employ a health check that includes a no contact temperature check at the beginning of each outdoor meeting. Scouts will be required to wear a face mask. In compliance with BSA national, we will also be using a pre-event medical check list and permission form that will be completed/updated for each outdoor meeting. In addition, Scouts will need to have Health Forms A&B completed.
Thank you for your dedication to scouting and Troop 341! We appreciate your continued partnership as we adapt to the realities we currently face as a community and as we look forward to a new scouting year.
